Fall 2008 School Enrollment Now Open
ROA has opened its enrollment for the Fall of 2008 to the general public. The current student priority period is now closed. Please be prepared to provide previous school information.
River Oaks Academy (ROA) was established in 1988 to provide parents and the community a private school with tailored programming that welcomes students with unique circumstances and conditions. We specialize in using teaching strategies and skill building techniques designed to help those with problems related to attention, distractibility, impulse control, emotional control, noncompliance, learning differences and developmental delays. Our small student teacher ratios increase academic success and allow a high level of participation in school life.
River Oaks Academy Services Include:
- Individualized Academic Programming (IAP).
- ADD Summer Camp.
- Learning Support Programs.
- Vocational Preparation.
- Evaluation and Treatment Services.
Students from kindergarten through twelfth grade are served in classes with a
small student to teacher ratio so that each student receives individualized attention. At the high school level, an enriched curriculum is provided for those seeking college admission, and a career track is offered to those seeking to enter the workforce upon graduation. Some students have needs that vary widely from the desire for a small, personalized learning environment to services for those with learning differences and social emotional challenges. Program-wide supports and a range of therapeutic services that includes social skills training, and individual, group and family psychotherapy are available.
