Transition Program

ROA provides transitional and transfer programming for students coming to Houston during the school year for various family and personal reasons. While some families may have been relocated by employers, others may come from treatment centers, group homes, wilderness camps, or boarding schools. These students can enroll at ROA and take advantage of the transition program anytime during the school year.

As an accredited school and by following the State of Texas requirements, ROA course credits may transfer to any school so that the student does not fall any further behind in their studies.

Our Purpose

The purpose of our transition program is to create a normalized school environment that kids can come home to. We provide therapy or counseling support for a period of time as students continue to improve, as well as structured programming or behavioral interventions to continue or maintain the gains made in their previous placement.

Each of our courses is taught by Highly Qualified Teachers (HQT; NCLB), who can give you the individual attention you need. As a state-approved and accredited school, credits can be transferred to the school of your choice. It is always good to check before you start the course. In any case, our registrar can help you.
